The golf course comprises a covered area 200 having an enclosure thereabout and an air-screen 212-216-218 on one side. A putting area 22 and basic playing area 10 are adjacent thereto. A plurality of driving-positions 11 along an elongated tee area within the covered area are adjacent and run parallel to an elonagted sand area 210. A fairway extending away from the sand area is marked, as at 101-114, to indicate various distances from the tee area and includes a plurality of actual or simulated hazards, e.g. trees 61-65, shrubbery, water or sand-traps 40-51. A number of simulated golf greens 30E-30K are located at varying distances, e.g. 80-220 yards, from the tee area. A player may thus hit successive shots from the same tee to any chosen green. Further "grassy" golf greens are provided between the sand area and first green 30D, whereby a player is enabled to hit a sand-trap or chip shot from the area 210 onto one of these "grassy" greens. The simulated greens may be shallow water-containers 31 raised. above the general ground level. The "grassy" greens may be covered with artificial nylon grass. The water in the simulated greens may be illuminated and the distance markers, flags and sand-traps be luminescent to facilitate night playing. The putting area is used after a player has achieved his selected simulated green on the fairway, and a variety of surface conditions may be provided here.
