A liquid sprayable agricultural dressing comprises at least 30% of a non-phytotoxic hydrocarbon mineral oil (e.g. white oil), a halogenated alkene having a density exceeding the density of the mineral oil, and an active treating agent (e.g. insecticide, fungicide, weed killer or plant hormone). The halogenated alkene may be trichloro-ethylene or perchloroethylene. Application may be made to land or plants.
