Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A motor-compressor unit 4 is resiliently supported in a casing 1 by means of spiral springs 17, 18, (19), each having the first turn fixed to the casing 1 or the unit 4, and the final turn seated in a semi-circular recess 22 provided in the unit or casing respectively. In the embodiment shown there are three springs secured by their first turns to members 14, 15, (16) welded to the inside of the casing. The recesses 22 for the springs 17, 18, (19) are formed in parts 11, 12, (13) of a carrier member 7 connecting the motor 5 to the compressor 6. To limit the maximum movement of the unit projections (25) on the parts 12, (13) abut bent-up tabs (26, 27) on the members 15, (16).
