Abstract

1,247,393. Lens mounts. BALDA WERKE PHOTOGRAPHISCHE GERATE UND KUNSTSTOFF R. GRœTER K. G. June 5, 1969 [Aug. 8, 1968], No.28594/69. Headings G2A and G2J. A lens mount 1 supports a camera lens 6 with one surface pressed against an abutment 5a by a ring 7 which is secured by a friction grip or a bead 8 or an adhesive 9, and the arrangement can be mounted to the front wall 16 of a camera by means of a thread 13 of the mount on a corresponding thread 14 in a socket 15 of the camera. A cylindrical surface of the mount has axial ribs 3 and grooves 4 for supporting a focussing ring (17), Figs. 3, 4 and 5 (not shown), the ring having resilient tongues (20), formed by double-recesses (19) in an integral inner collar (18), and lugs (24) arranged so that both tongues and lugs fit the grooves 4 of the mount. The camera has two lugs 29, 30 which abut the socket 15 and which fit inside a cylindrical recess (27) between the inner and outer collars (18, 25) of the focussing ring when in position, the lugs in conjunction with a separate lug (28) on the outer collar serving to restrict the focussing movement of the ring. The ring (17) is fixed to the lens mount in the desired orientation by first setting the lens to infinity focus and then arranging the ring lug (28) to be alongside the camera lug 29; pushing the ring fully home then causes lugs (21) on the end of the resilient tongues (20) to engage firmly against a surface 31 of the mount.
