Abstract
1,246,830. Fuel cell electrodes. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. 25 Oct., 1968 [27 Oct., 1967], No. 50717/68. Heading H1B. A gas electrode comprises activated carbon, a porous hard carbon and a binding agent. The porous hard carbon is distinguished from the activated carbon by its stability of shape, porosity, greater conductivity and higher degree of graphitization. The binder may be P.T.F.E. or polyethylene and the electrode which may be made by pressing and sintering may be used as an oxygen electrode in a fuel cell.
