Abstract
1,246,440. Aquarium frame. J. VOSS. 28 Aug., 1970 [14 Oct., 1969], No. 41509/69. Heading A1A. An aquarium frame is formed by generally L-section bars (Fig. 4) mitred together at the corners (Fig. 3) and held in position by corner inserts 30 (Fig. 8) having 3 mutually perpendicular arms 31a, b and c. The arms are inserted into the ends of the angular cavities 17 formed in the bars by longitudinal flanges 15 and are retained by portions 16a of the flanges being pressed into recesses 33 in the arms. The arms have longitudinal grooves 13 opening inwards to accommodate sealing strips (20) against which panes 4 rest. The joints between the panes are sealed on the inside by flexible adhesive 4a.
