Abstract

1,246,179. Film dressings. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. 3 March, 1969 [6 March, 1968], No. 11095/69. Heading A5R. [Also in Division C3] A film dressing for burns comprises a hydrogel laminate consisting of a layer of spongy, porous hydrogel and a homogeneous layer of polymer, the two layers being bound together by covalent bonds formed by polymerisation of the monomer mixture for said spongy hydrogel on to said homogeneous layer. The homogeneous layer may be provided with fine holes e.g. by treatment with a sharp brush.
