Abstract

A coin dispenser comprises a generally circular member 21, 26 and a relatively rotatable part 29, the part having a plurality of holes 32 overlying a circular resilient rib 23 on base 21. Each hole 32 is rebated on the side adjacent the base 21 so as to form a coin compartment 35 in which the coin is held against vibration by rib 23. Coins may be removed by rotating part 29 until a compartment 35 registers with a slot in the circular member 21, 26 and displacing the coin through the slot. A displaceable flap 25 is formed in the rib 23 by cutting along chaindotted lines 24 (Fig. 1). As shown in Fig. 2, the slot is adjacent flap 25 and communicates with a central coin receiving recess 22. The ring 26 may be detachable (e.g. by bayonet action) to allow disassembly to reload the coin compartments. Alternatively a further slot may be provided in the periphery of ring 26 for insertion of coins. In an alternative form there is provided further flap (36) (Fig. 7, not shown) diametrally opposite flap 25. The central recess 22 is omitted and filling and dispensing slots (37), (38) are provided at the periphery of the ring 26 adjacent flaps 25, (36) respectively. The rotatable part 29 has outwardly directed U-shaped recesses in register with the holes 32 for receiving the coins, and a coin shoot (39) is associated with slot (38). The device may be mounted on a vehicle by screw, magnetic or suction means.
