Abstract
1,245,635. Friction clutches. HASLER A.G. 6 Nov., 1968 [6 Nov., 1967], No. 52564/68. Heading F2C. The spring 90 of a coil spring coupling is attached to a driven part 60 and has its free end 93 held in a longitudinal slot 112 in a driving bush 110. The latter has a lug 114 which engages a solenoid operated stop. When the stop is withdrawn the bush 110 rotates, allowing the spring to engage a driving sleeve 47 and the parts 60, 47 and 110 rotate until the lug 114 again abuts the stop. Axially projecting claws 115 on the bush 110 co-operate with stops 83 to ensure that the stopping position is accurately controlled. A second spring 120 which engages driven and driving parts 55, 35, prevents the driven parts either running in advance of the driving parts or running backwards.
