[Also in Division G2] A photoconductive recording member comprises a photoconductor, a sensitizing dye, a dyedesensitizing accelerator and a support. In the embodiments, TiO 2 with or without ZnO in an acrylate resin is coated on paper, sensitized by a specific carbocyanine dye and treated with carbon tetrabromide as the desensitizing accelerator. Many other photoconductors and accelerators are specified, the accelerators being polyhalogenated compounds. The photoconductors may be incorporated in a paper-making slurry, or a plastic sheet, coated on glass or dispersed in sodium silicate or polyvinyl alcohol and coated on a rigid or flexible insulating or conductive substrate.
