Abstract

1,244,822. Laminated paper. JIFFY MFG. CO. 21 Jan., 1970, No. 3043/70. Heading B5N. [Also in Division A4] A cover for a chair comprises a laminate of similarly embossed paper sheets P, the laminate being turned over and secured at one end to define an envelope C for fitment over a seat back and an apron M to overlie the seat and adjacent sheets P of the laminate being mutually offset so that only the embossed mounds Q make contact. The sheets P of the laminate are secured together at localized areas K and along lines L by piercing through the laminate so that the fibres of one sheet project into an adjacent sheet or sheets. Additionally the sheets P may be secured together by adhesive applied in spots or strips. The laminate includes a smooth sheet D on the face intended to engage the chair.
