Abstract

1,244,517. Petrol pump fittings. AVERY-HARDOLL Ltd. and BECK & CO. (METERS) Ltd. March 26, 1970 [April 9, 1969], No.18106/69. Heading A4T. A rotatable fitting 10 at the top of a petrol pump 15 through which predetermined quantities of two different kinds of petrol are delivered through coaxial hoses 11, 12 has two chambers 22, 23 positioned side by side each having a transparent sight glass panel 45 in its outer wall and provided with a further transparent panel 44 in the dividing wall 37 of the chambers. The pump has a fixed boss 14 to which petrol is delivered through pipes 32 to channels 24, 25 in the boss and from thence to pipes 19, 21 in the fittings 10 which is rotatable around the boss 14 and held thereon by a plate 51. Seals 28 are provided. The plate 51 may have an extension passing through the fitting 10 to hold an advertising unit which may be illuminated by electrical wires which pass through the centre of the boss.
