Abstract

1,243,713. Recovering rubber from solution. KAO SOAP CO. Ltd. 29 Jan., 1969, No. 4923/69. Heading C3P. A solution of a synthetic rubber in an organic solvent is poured into heated water containing a mixture of a bi- or trivalent water-soluble inorganic metallic salt and a sulphonate of a C 15-24 monoalkyl benzene or a formaldehyde condensate of said sulphonate, said inorganic salt and said sulphonate forming a substantially water-insoluble compound, steam stripping the solvent and recovering the rubber as fine particles in an aqueous slurry.
