Abstract

1,242,392. Guards for cooker tops. J. SEGAL. 20 Nov., 1968 [23 Aug., 1967], No. 38830/67. Heading F4W. A guard for a cooker top comprises a metal fence surrounding the back, sides and front of the cooker, and formed of four corner pieces connected by bolts passing through slots 20 and holes 18 so that the fence may be adjusted to the size of the cooker top. Lugs 16 secure the fence to the cooker. The pieces forming the back wall have cut outs to accommodate a forwardly directed vent in the splash back, and holes 14 for the attachment of the lugs 16 are formed at the top and bottom so that the pieces may be reversed to accommodate vents at different heights. The fence may be secured to the splash plate by resilient straps.
