Abstract

1,242,129. Selective printing. CREED & CO., Ltd. 27 Nov., 1968 [30 Nov., 1967], No. 56282/68. Heading B6F. In a selective printer, type bars having projections 1 are selectively deflected in a direction C for impression by a deflector 4 having a deflector surface 4a terminating in a point 4b, the point 4b being protected by a resiliently mounted guide means 3 having a sloping surface 3d which slopes upwards from an edge 3b to the junction of two sloping edges 3a, 3e, the guide means 3 being mounted on a leaf spring (7, Fig. 2) and slidable within a fixed guide 6. The guide means are applicable to rotating type basket printer described in Specification 1,140,286.
