Sewing-machines; thread-tensioning devices.- In sewing-machines, such as described in Specification 123,794, the thread-tensioning devices are supported in the space between the inclined support 1 and the bracket arm 3. The support for the tension devices 8 consists of a web 7 integral with the machine support 1 and bracket arm 3 and at one side thereof. In the arrangement shown, the looper threads lead from the two upper tensions through a guide 9 to the interior of the work-arm ; the needle threads lead from the next four tensions through a guide 10 and take-up device to the needles; and a covering thread leads from the lowest tension through guides 11 to the thread-laying devices.
