Abstract
1,239,529. Vibrating conveyers. A. J. CLEARY, and K. F. KEEFE, [trading as CLEMCO-CLEMENTINA Ltd.]. 30 July, 1969 [17 Sept., 1968], No. 38284/69. Heading B8A. Pans 38, 40 and 42 are positioned beneath and collect sand from a sand blasting room and convey the sand by reciprocation thereof by respective cams 92, 94 and 96 to discharge it on to a vibrating conveyer 80 operated by cam 120. In Fig. 2, cam 94 engages a roller 112 mounted on a support 108 secured at 118 to the pan 40 so that rotation of the cam moves the pan leftwards and then frees it to swing under gravity so that the support 108 engages a stop 99 to jerk the cam and cause conveyance. In Fig. 5, the sand falls through a grating 101 and on to the pans 40 and 42, the pans being supported by pivoted levers 48, 50 which are protected from the sand by a resilient member 68. Barrier members 70, 71 and 72, 73 aid in deflecting the sand and further resilient members (77), Fig. 6 (not shown) provide seals for the sand. A screw conveyer (130) can be used in place of the conveyer (80), Figs. 13, 14 (not shown). In Figs. 15, 16 (not shown) hydraulic cylinders are used in place of the cams for moving the pans.
