A flexible roll-roofing material comprises two embossed metal layers enclosing a woven or non-woven fabric and asphalt, one of the metal layers carrying a layer of asphalt on its outer surface, the major part of the asphalt in the material lying between the metal layers. The metal layers may be of aluminium, copper, stainless steel, lead or zinc and are preferably embossed in an oriented pattern e.g. fluted or crÚped.
