Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A variable attitude support for flooring comprises a pair of wedge shaped members 10 which, upon relative rotation, may be locked together in any one of a plurality of different positions. The locking means comprises a plurality of radial slots 26 and abutments 24 but may take the form of a pin passing through a hole in the top wedge member to engage in one of a number of sockets in the lower member: Alternatively, adhesive may be applied to the interengaging surfaces where the spacing between supported and supporting member is large, an extensible pillar member (32, Fig. 2) may be mounted centrally of the wedge members such that relative rotation of the wedges about the axis of the pillar alters its inclination.
