Abstract

1,235,701. Composite metal column. E. G. RENSCH. 7 June, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 27180/68. Heading E1K. A column is assembled, for example bolted together, from a plurality of individual sections extending over the entire length of the column, each section comprising a pair of webs 6, 7 interconnected by an angle piece 3, each web extending in a radial plane of the column and being joined at right angles to a limb of the anglepiece intermediate the radial extent of the web. The webs may extend longitudinally beyond one end of each anglepiece to provide for the anchorage to the column of beams 14, 15 which lie on the end of the angle pieces. A wall part 13 may be inserted into a rectangular corner of the column.
