Abstract

Vehicular lamps, directing.-In apparatus for automatically controlling the front lamps of motor-car and like vehicles from the steering- gear, the lamp supports may be connected or disconnected from the steering-gear by means of a spring-pin controlled by means of a two point spring-control lever on the dashboard. In one form, sockets B', Fig. 3, carrying the lamp supports C are mounted in eye-brackets B fixed in the sockets of the standard lamp brackets D and are connected together by lugs b<1> and a connecting-link E. A spindle F, Fig. 5, mounted in tEe lower end of one of the sockets B' is connected by a bent telescopic link F<3>, F<2>, Fig. 3, to a vertical post F<4> rotatably secured in a lug G' on a clamp G on the radius rod connecting the two front wheels steering-gear together. A spring pin f<1>, Fig. 5, by engaging a hole f in the spindle F, connects it to the socket B<1> and is disengaged therefrom by means of a spring control lever acting through a wire or flexible connexion, a bell-crank lever, and a link J<2>.
