A circular-saw comprises indented segments each consisting of at least two indented parts 14, 15 secured to the circumference of a supporting disc 1. The disc is formed with a circumferential spline 2 to which the parts 14, 15 are secured by rivets 3. The dividing plane 16 may be in the plane of symmetry of the saw and the parts be of equal thickness. In another embodiment, the parts are of different thickness, one part having a recess to accommodate the spline and the other being flat so that the dividing plane passes through a side wall of the spline. Alternate segments may have their dividing planes on opposite sides of the splines. In a further embodiment, each segment consists of two flat parts riveted to the spline and a third part slightly thinner than the spline is held by rivets between the parts.
