Abstract

1,232,436. Transport containers; hoppers. LUDWIG SPITZER SEN. K.G. 29 July, 1968 [9 Oct., 1967], No. 36106/68. Headings B8P and B8S. A container comprises retractable funnels 15 -17 and filling openings 6 for flowable material and has dustproof doors 2 for loading solid articles. The funnels are made wholly or in part from flexible material, or from a set of concentric conical rings, Fig. 6 (not shown), and have screw caps 9-11 and covers 27-29 which are either fixed to the funnels or hinged or screwed to the container. To protect the retracted funnels when solid articles are in the container, the funnels can be positioned on the sides, top or end, the end doors 2 having their hinges either parallel with or transverse to the funnel axis and the filling openings 6 and the corresponding screw caps 7 always being opposite the funnels. Further, internal hinged flaps 31, 32 can be used to cover the funnels if they are on the container base, or the funnels can be removable. The container has stacking connections 1 at its corners.
