Abstract

123,170. Rowan, D. Feb. 16, 1918. Teaching electricity; models. -An apparatus for demonstrating electric wiring or for operating electrically driven models comprises a board 1 with equidistant perforations 2, perforated metallic strips 5, and interchangeable fittings or models a - - e provided with prong contacts to enter the perforations in the strips and the board. The perforations near the edges of the board 1 are arranged at half the usual pitch from the edge, and the edges may be tongued and grooved so that a number of boards may be secured together while maintaining the pitch between the perforations. An electric lamp for use with this apparatus is shown in Fig. 4, the holder comprising a block 3 of insulating material and two wireprong contacts 4, the other ends of the wires forming a spiral holder 11 and a central contact 13.
