[Also in Division H2] A high-voltage conductor 1 is arranged within the bight of an elongated U-shaped insulating shield 2. The conductor may be a bus-bar shaped to fit the internal wall of the shield and provided with isolating contacts 3 for cooperation with the isolating contacts of horizontally withdrawable switchgear, Figs. 4 to 7 (not shown). Condenser foils are embedded within the shield, the outermost foil being earthed.
