A dynamic balancing machine for use in correcting the unbalance in a crank-shaft by drilling, comprises a switch for reducing the sensitivity of an indicator. By setting the switch until the indicator gives a reading on a scale, and then multiplying the result by the factor applied, an assessment of the amount of unbalance is obtained. The switch is calibrated so that it indicates the number of holes to be drilled, and the scale indicates the required depth of the holes.
