The subject matter disclosed is contained in Specification 1,170,872, but the claims relate to a vacuum chamber having two parallel plates dividing an enclosure into a central chamber and two side chambers, wherein there are valves to prevent or permit communication between the central chamber and each of the side chambers, condensers are provided in each side chamber and means are provided to selectively create a vacuum in any of the chambers.
