Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A vacuum or other thermally insulating flask has an external storage container in which items for addition to the contents of the flask are retained, at least partly, by the placing of a top cap on the flask. As illustrated, the storage container comprises two vertical strips 6 which are joined at their bottom ends by a crosspiece 10. The outer side of the container is closed by a spoon 9 which engages a projection 11 on the crosspiece 10 and whose handle engages two slots at the top of the strips 6, Figs. 2-4 (not shown). The top of the container is closed by the handle 5 of a cup 4 which serves to close the flask. The container may house sugar lumps 12 and a milk container 7 which has flanges engaging the top of the strips 6. A saucer 14 is detachably secured to the bottom of the flask.
