Abstract

1,227,328. Slurry tanker. MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENG. CO. Ltd. 5 Aug., 1969 [5 Aug., 1968], No. 39191/69. Headings B7A and B7M. [Also in Division B8] A slurry tanker is provided with combined draining and filtering pipes 1 extending along the inner walls of the slurry tanks 2, and with controlled valves 9 by which water drained from the slurry is discharged into ballast tanks 8. In the embodiment shown, pipes 1 consist of frames of circular cross-section covered by filters 3 and valves 9 are remote controlled.
