Abstract

[Also in Division E1] A panel for use in a ventilating ceiling in which a space is left between the panel and the true ceiling comprises a metal panel element 1 containing a number of holes 2, one surface of the panel element being covered with a sheet 3 which is thinner than the panel element and contains a number of holes 4 which number is less than the number in the element and which holes have a diameter greater than that of the holes in the panel element, each hole in the sheet overlying a hole in the panel element to provide a number of holes passing through the panel. The sheet 3 preferably comprises a layer 3a of aluminium and a layer 3b of paper.
