Abstract

1,225,979. Injectable vitamin compositions. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 22 March, 1968 [23 March, 1967], No. 13956/68. Heading A5B. An injectable, essentially non-aqueous (less than 10% water) vitamin composition comprises at least one of: vitamin A-propionate, -butyrate or -valerate and an oil-and water-soluble polyoxyethylene condensate at a concentration of at least 25% by weight of the vitamin component or components. Suitable condensates are polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters and polyoxyethylated vegetable oils. The vitamin composition may also comprise one or more of vitamin A acetate, vitamin D and vitamin E. A viscosity-reducing organic ester, e.g. ethyl lactate, ethyl propionate or diethyl carbonate may also be present.
