[Also in Divisions C2 and C5] Organic compounds are stabilized against oxidative deterioration by the incorporation of a compound of formula wherein A is an unsubstituted phenyl or α- or #-naphthyl radical or a phenyl radical substituted by one or more alkyl C 4-9 radicals and B is a phenyl radical substituted by one or more alkyl C 4-9 radicals. Suitable compounds which may thus be stabilized include natural rubber, homo- or copolymers of ethylene, propylene, styrene, butadiene, acrylonitrile, vinyl chloride and acetate, polyesters, polyamides, polyurethanes or polydimethylsiloxane, polymethylphenylsiloxane or a chlorinated derivative thereof or a tetraalkyl or tetraacyl silane.
