To limit relative movement between the doors 1, 2, Fig. 1, of a container when the container is distorted, male and female members 3, 4 are provided on the doors which allow a predetermined amount of free movement between the doors until relative vertical movement of the members 3, 4 brings them into contact, at which time the distorting force is transferred to hinges 8. The male member may alternatively be cylindrical and be received within a cylindrical bore with clearance.
