122,255. Stokes, F. W. Jan. 19, 1918. Casting-machines. - In a centrifugal casting- machine, the mould door is formed in parts, such as e, e, j, which close automatically by centrifugal action. In the preferred form, a mould a supported by jaws b on a base c has the cover parts e carried by levers f pivoted at g to two opposite jaws b, and carrying weights h, which may be assisted by springs i to raise the parts e when the mould is stationary. When the mould revolves, centrifugal action causes the weights h to close-down the parts e, and subsequently the packing-pieces j, similarly mounted and operated by weights m, close down over the joints.
