1,221,924. Suspended scaffolding. L. J. BLACKBURN. 15 Feb., 1968 [15 Nov., 1966], No. 51105/66. Heading E1S. Suspended scaffolding for use on, e.g. towers, comprises platforms or cradles 1 flexibly suspended from the tower and extending around the internal or external periphery thereof, the platforms or cradles 1 being interconnected by connecting bars 6 which can he adjusted in length, e.g. by a screw arrangement, and which extend between sockets 5 on the platforms or cradles. Connecting boards may also extend between the platforms or cradles, which are elevated by, e.g., an electric capstan (not shown). The scaffold may be suspended from bogies mounted to move around the top of the tower.
