[Also in Division E2] A fastening for garments comprises two fastening parts each having a loop 11 sewn into a garment 10, one loop being joined by a neck 16 to a ring portion 14 which engages a stepped member stepped down in two stages to form portions 12 and (13), Fig. 1 (not shown), the inside width (I) at the place of transition (15) from one step 12 to the other 13 being smaller than the external width (II), Fig. 3 (not shown), of the neck 16. The fastening may be made of wire, the free end 13<SP>1</SP> of the narrower stepped portion 13 being bent upwardly and the neck 16 on the other loop portion being bent downwardly to effect a snug fit.
