Abstract
1,220,457. Polymer compositions. RUMANIA, MINISTRY OF INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS. 16 Jan., 1968 [22 Feb., 1967], No. 2415/68. Headings C3P and C3Q. [Also in Divisions B1-B2] Adhesive compositions for anti-corrosive protection comprise by weight 5 to 70 parts of amorphous polypropylene in admixture with rosin, zinc oxide and one or more of (1) 2 to 30 parts of natural rubber or polyisoprene rubber, (2) 5 to 35 parts of polyisobutylene, (3) 2 to 18 parts of natural or polyisoprene rubber and 6 to 15 parts of butyl rubber and (4) 5 to 30 parts of butyl rubber. Examples describe compositions comprising amorphous polypropylene, zinc oxide and resin, together with (1) natural rubber or polyisoprene rubber; (2) polyisobutylene, butyl rubber and paraffin oil; (3) natural rubber or polyisoprene rubber, polyisobutylene, butyl rubber and paraffin oil; and (4) butyl rubber, 4<SP>1</SP>,5-dibromosalicyl anilide and 3,4<SP>1</SP>,5-tribromosalicyl anilide, optionally with hydrocarbon solvents.
