Abstract

1,220,168. Buoyant garment. C. DERUAZ. 13 Sept., 1968 [14 Sept., 1967], No. 43560/68. Heading B7U. A buoyant garment contains buoyancy members each comprising elongate laminations of low density flexible material which are relatively slidable on flexing. Laminations 1a-1f are of different lengths and are secured together at one end by a clamp 2. The members are positioned in respective vertical pockets in a jacket with the clamped ends uppermost. The laminations are of foam rubber or plastics.
