Abstract

1,219,134. Photo-copying Apparatus. RICOH K. K. Sept. 19, 1968 [Sept. 20, 1967J, No. 44504/68. Heading G2A and G2H. An electro-photographic apparatus has a slit exposure device comprising a first movable mirror 4 making an angle a e.g. 67 degrees 30' with an original support surface 2; a second movable mirror 5 at right angles to the surface; and a fixed lens the optical axis of which makes an angle of 2a-90 degrees with the surface; there being means for moving the mirrors in synchronism in the directions shown so as to scan an original 3 line by line andprojectthe images therefrom onto synchroniously driven photo-sensitive paper 11. The original is illuminated by moving lights 6, 7. The copy paper is stored in a roll and charged by a charger 13 before passing the exposure slot 1b. Thence the exposed paper is guided through liquid developer 16, cutters 12 severing the paper when the exposure is finished. The mirrors 4, 5 and the lights 6, 7 are then returned to the positions shown.
