Abstract

1,218,911. Motor vehicle mud guards. BOYDELL & JACKS Ltd. 3 Jan., 1969, No. 542/69. Heading B7J. A mudguard with two valences 13 for a tandem wheel arrangement of a motor vehicle comprises three parts, namely a central straight part 10 and two arcuate end parts 11, 11 the parts 10, 11, 11 being detachably secured together. Each part 10 or 11 includes longitudinal strengthening ribs 12 and the ends of the part 10 are engaged in recesses under formations 16 of the ribs 12 on parts 11 and the parts 11, 10, 11 may be bolted to detachably secure them together. The length of the whole mudguard may be changed by cutting off part 10. The parts 10, 11 may be formed of a synthetic plastic material such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene.
