Abstract

1,218,769. Valves. HYDROVANE COMPRESSOR CO. Ltd. 24 June, 1969 [26 June, 1968], No. 30524/68. Heading F2V. A temperature responsive safety device in a gas compressor comprises a valve 20 with inlet holes 24, a spring 30 urging the valve towards its closed position on a seat 18, and a soldered joint 32 holding it open, the solder being chosen to melt at the temperature at which the device is to close, but to form a joint on cooling to hold the valve in its closed position. From the inlets 24 gas passes to outlet holes 13 in the body of the device.
