[Also in Division G1] An alarm device for a brake fluid reservoir comprises a tube 4 communicating with the reservoir at both ends 5, 6, a pair of contacts 8, 9 mounted in the tube, and a float 7 which bridges the contacts to complete a circuit to an indicator when the fluid level falls to a predetermined position. The tube 4 may be mounted inside the reservoir and the indicator may include a relay so arranged that the lamp 14 is normally lit and is extinguished when contacts 8, 9 are closed. An acoustic alarm may be used instead of the lamp 14.
