Abstract

1,214,763. Hydraulically - operated grab buckets. DEMAG - ZUG G.m.b.H. 14 April, 1969 [19 Oct., 1968], No. 18937/69. Heading B8H. In a grab in which the buckets 2, Fig. 1, are pivoted about pins 3 by hydraulic rams 9, 10, hydraulic fluid is supplied to the rams by a pump 7, Fig. 2, driven by an electric motor 6, both of which are housed in a grab holder 1 which is U-shaped and has pivoted protecting caps 15. The pump and motor are mounted on a support 5 which comprises a pair of plates 12 interconnected by a spacer 11. On the left side of Fig. 1, the support 5 is connected by a bolt 8a to the grab holder 1 and to the pistonrod 10 of the ram, whilst on the right side a bolt 8 connects only the piston 10 to a bracket 4 of the holder 1 which is connected by a bolt 8a to the support 5.
