Abstract

1,214,555. Gloves. A. K. HAWORTH. 27 Oct., 1969 [1 Nov., 1968], No. 51773/68. Heading A3V. A glove A comprising a terry fabric with the pile a on one side and coated partially or completely on the other side with a silicone elastomer to give a heat resistant wearing surface. The glove formed by the terry fabric is dipped on a former into a bath of silicon elastomer paste and is then dipped into a bath of curing catalyst. Alternatively, the glove may be dipped into a mixture of the elastomer and curing catalyst, or this mixture may be brushed or sprayed on to the glove.
