1,214,522. Purification of cyclohexanol/cyclohexanone mixtures. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 5 March, 1968 [24 April, 1967], No. 10563/68. Heading C2C. The invention relates to a process of purifying a cyclohexanol/cyclohexanone mixture obtained by oxidation of cyclohexane using air in which cyclohexanol/cyclohexanone mixture is catalytically hydrogenated, e.g. using an oxide of chromium, aluminium, or thorium as catalyst in the gaseous phase at temperatures from 100 to 150 C., and at normal pressure before it is further purified by distillation.
