1,213,305. Selective printing. DENNISON MFG. CO. Ltd. 9 Nov., 1967 [9 Nov., 1966 (2)], No. 36071/70. Divided out of 1,213,304. Heading B6F. The subject-matter of this Specification is similar to that described in the Specification 1,213,304 but the claims are directed to the printing head and the disposition of the four printing carriers of the head relative to each other and the strip to be imprinted such that four closely adjacent lines are printed on the strip at line spacings which are closer than the spacing permissible between adjacent heads arranged for simultaneous printing of the four lines. Printing carriers are arranged in pairs and movable for alternate printing on a pair of spaced guide rods the printing carriers being movable transversely and in a plane parallel to the plane of the strip.
