1,212,943. 1,1,1,3,3 - Pentafluoro - 2 - propyl p - toluenesulphonate. BAXTER LABORATORIES Inc. 8 Aug., 1968 [29 Aug., 1967], No. 44400/69. Divided out of 1,212,942. Heading C2C. The invention comprises 1,1,1,3,3 - pentafluoro - 2 - propyl p - toluenesulphonate, and its preparation by reacting a mixture of 1,1,1,3,3- pentfluoropropan - 2 - ol and an equimolaequivalent of p - toluenesulphonyl chloride with from 1 to 1À1 molar equivalents of sodium hydroxide or other strong alkali in water, followed by separation of the product. Specifications 1,212,942 and 1,212,944 are referred to.
