1,212,157. Feeding record tapes. LANIER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY Inc. 19 May, 1969, No.25327/69. Heading G5R. Two driving means 11, 12 feed an endless tape 14 in either direction between two side-by-side magazines 17, 18 in two runs 15, 16, each run including an inclined portion 54, 55 so that the two runs cross each other without touching. Selective energization of solenoids 33, 35, 49, 50 brings a selected pinch roller 23, 27, 38 or 42 into co-operation with the tape 14 and a rotating shaft 20 or 37. The tape 14 is held against a recording head 84 and a playback head 85 by pressure pads on resilient arms 88, 89.
