1,211,884. Coating apparatus. HADEWE EERSTE NEDERLANDSE DUPLICATORFABRIEKEN N.V. 13 Nov., 1967 [29 June, 1967], No. 51554/67. Heading B2L. [Also in Division B8] A upwardly facing flap of an envelope is moistened or gummed by brushes 40 which are oscillated under the control of a feeler 46 detecting the envelope so that only the proper portion of the flap is gummed or moistened. The brushes are supplied from a wick 41 dipping in a reservoir 42 the envelope is fed, and the flap opened, as described in Division B8.
