Abstract

1,211,543. Moulding fibrous mats. FIBREGLASS Ltd. 20 March, 1968 [25 April, 1967], No. 18922/67. Heading B5A. Resin impregnated mats are located in sideby-side manner, in a support frame 3, Fig. 2, which is aligned between mould members 1A, 2A before the mats are pushed into the cavities 1B in which'heat curing is effected. A second similar frame is loaded while curing of the mats is effected with the first frame between the mould members, the mats being swept out of the cavities by projections 3E on removal of the first frame. The end wall of the frame may be removable or comprise hinged parts to allow withdrawal of the frame before completion of the curing. The mould cavities may have flash receiving recesses 1E, Fig. 5, so that the articles remain in the cavities on opening of the mould. Hot air circulating passages 5 are provided in the mould members.
